At Kansas State University, the model of training veterinary students in a teaching hospital has been in place for nearly 100 years. VHC team members include veterinary clinicians, graduate interns, residents in training, veterinary students and nursing/assistant staff members. The VHC strives to provide exceptional care for your animals, from high-quality routine healthcare to state-of-the-art advanced therapy for seriously ill patients.
The VHC team consists of approximately 55 senior clinician veterinarians and a strong complement of assistant and nursing staff members. When your pet or production animal requires routine medical care, our general practice veterinarians are among the finest in the profession. When a specialist is required, we have a nationally recognized cohort of experts.
Many VHC patients are referred by regional clinicians. An important component of the VHC mission is to provide assistance to local and regional veterinarians so they can best serve animal owners and producers.
Patients and clients receive unparalleled routine, emergency and specialty care and the VHC is also proud of our many researchers who are focused on finding treatments and cures for both human and animal diseases.
