SEAVS is a full service veterinary facility promoting the health and wellness of all exotic species of birds, small exotic mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. We are the only veterinary medical facility in the DMV area serving an exclusively avian and exotic clientele. Our doctors and staff are dedicated to the primary care of avian and exotic companion animals and to clients in need of a facility that caters to the unique needs of these special family members.

Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services (SEAVS) provides leading edge medical and surgical services for exotic pets, including birds (i.e. parrots, passerines, poultry, etc.), small exotic mammals (i.e. rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, mice, gerbils, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, etc.), reptiles (i.e. snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, etc.), and amphibians (i.e. frogs, salamanders, etc.). We do NOT examine dogs, cats, primates, venomous snakes, fish, or zoo animals, such as large cats and wallabies.

Our Practice
Dr. Scott Stahl has been practicing exotic animal veterinary medicine in Northern Virginia since 1989. He is certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners as a specialist in avian medicine. In addition to treating many animal family members in the Greater Washington D.C. Metropolitan region, Dr. Stahl and his associates have worked with and consulted for other veterinarians, zoos, and universities across the country and around the world.
The veterinarians and technicians of SEAVS are some of the forerunners in the field of exotic animal medicine. Their primary concern is the health and well being of your exotic pets, so they are continually improving their knowledge, keeping up to date on medical literature, attending (and even lecturing at) veterinary medical conferences, and working as a cohesive team to evaluate and treat patients. Due to the collaborative nature of our practice, when you see one veterinarian at our clinic, you are benefiting from the expertise of all our doctors.
