When Dr. Hodes first started this practice over 35 years ago, he was a “traveling vet”. Spending his days riding around in a van making house calls. Even though today we’ve grown into a full-service animal hospital, we’ve also continued the Dr. Hodes’ tradition of making house calls. House calls are by appointment only. Hodes Veterinary Group handles emergencies, medical, surgical, and dental cases, and wellness visits. We offer a comfortable, friendly environment where both you and your four-legged family member can relax while waiting for your appointment. But don’t be surprised by some of the pet patients you may find sitting next to you. We’re a mixed animal practice, so we treat a wide variety of animals — both small and large.
There’s a special bond between animals and the people who love them. That same special bond should also exist between veterinarians and their patients.
No one understands this more than the doctors at Hodes Veterinary Group. In fact, when Dr. Hodes opened his Mobile Veterinary Clinic back in 1980, his goal was to treat his patients with the same love and compassion as any two-legged family member would get from their doctor.
Over 35 years later, this love of animals and desire to provide the absolute best medical care has helped the Hodes Veterinary Group grow into a practice that includes 7 veterinarians and loyal pet patients from Mine Hill and the surrounding communities.
Today, Dr. Hodes spends a lot less time at the office and more time with his family. But he left his practice in good hands. Dr. Kris Conway, a veterinarian who has worked alongside him since 1994, is now the owner and continues to uphold the pet care tradition of Dr. Hodes — treat each pet like they’re a member of our family. Because they are.
